I normally find boat chandlers a good source of quality stainless steel bolts. However at one point they could not provide what I was after and after hunting around locally found a company called Allfix that always seems to have what I am looking for.
First thing that comes to mind is Valve clearance. Next possibly valve timing (if you have rebuilt the engine without being a mechanic). I think you might be onto something. If it does not cough and/or splutter, when it gets to 55 then it is probably restricted. 535’s are often restricted I think for the A2 License category.

How do you know it is the back cylinder?
Apart from saying it it pops and bangs on the back cylinder, and that it is fine on tickover, you are not saying much. Does it pop and bang on acceleration or deceleration? (Does it happen when just revving the bike or only when riding?)
