Evening all, I have a bit of a query on changing the handlebars on my 92 535 hopefully you can put me right. The previous 535 I owned had the high rise bars, the current one has the low straight bars. I would like to change them to the high rise and was just wondering what cables, electrics etc might need changing?
I have tried to do an approximate measure but didn’t really come to any conclusion. If it means changing everything I don’t think I will bother, however, if I can get away with maybe some lower than original (high rise) bars that I can fit without changing stuff that might be a compromise. I would just like to have some slightly higher bars.

      Any thoughts? Thanks John

      Hey there,
Really depends on the hight of the bars you are going for. These are the bars on my 535 currently

all cables and lines run without issue with this hight of bars. But they are at their limit. If you were to go for a wider spread then I would recomend extending the brake, throttle, & clutch cable.

      Hope that helps

      Hi Wyatt

Thanks for the response, I am thinking at bars about the same as yours so I may be able to get away with it.

I just want to go for the easy option without making myself a lot of work!

      Cheers John
